RIVER CITY BIG BAND - "Just Friends" I'm very proud of this first CD from the rehearsal Big Band I play in every Wednesday night. It features six of my big band charts; Abanico, Another Softly, Petits Oiseaux, A Touch of Olive and Brown, East St. Louie Toodle-oo and Nature Boy. NEW CD FEATURES MY "MACEWAN SUITE" This innovative album contains 22 songs, half feature more contemporary/popular compositions while the rest present jazz/fusion arrangements and original compositions. Highlighted within is my MacEwan Suite. This set of four pieces was written specifically to feature our Big Band, Guitar Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Showcase Band. May
In May 2011 the New Edmonton Wind Symphonia will record a new CD comprised entirely of my Wind Band music. Pieces will inlude; Loch na Beiste, Fantasia on Themes from West Side Story, Dreaming of the Master I (featuring clarinetist James Campbell) and Kalla (featuring trumpeter Dean McNeill). I will also compose a new work entitled Exursions for their final concert and the CD.
My my second opera collaboration with librettist Val Brandt, The Unitimely Death of Whatsisname, gets it's workshop premiere by Calgary Opera's Emerging-Artists and a 12-piece chamber orchestra
July
Dreaming III will be performed at the Banff Centre July 31 as part of the opening of the new Shaw Amphitheatre. This special version of DOTM III will also feature internationally renowned trombonist Wycliffe Gordon along side Jens Lindemann.
October
Premiere of the wind band version of Dreaming of the Masters III on Sunday Oct. 23 at 2:30 pm in the Plaza del Sol Auditorium on the campus of Cal State University Northridge

The Brass Band of Battle Creek will perform Dreaming of the Masters III on Sunday Dec. 4 in BAttle Creek Michigan.

February
The River City Big Band (which I play trumpet in) will be recording their second CD. Like the previous CD "Just Friends", it will feature big band charts my myself, Larry Schrum and also Thomas Hay(a new member of the band and a fine writer himself).
March
On March 9/10, 2012 James Campbell will perform Dreaming of the Masters I with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
Dreaming of the Masters III performed at the National Trumpet Competition in Viginia by Jens and the US Army Band.
April
April 15 in Toronto, Dreaming of the Masters III with Jens and the Hannaford Street Silver Band
April 26, 2012 premiere of The Sea of Marmora commissioned by the Victoria Composite High School for the Arts.
