It's finally here! The release of my newest CD! The record features incredible performances by James Campbell on my clarinet concerto Dreaming of the Masters I and PJ Perry on my saxophone concerto Dreaming of the Masters IV. We recorded in Prague in May of 2019 with a 65-piece orchestra conducted by Raymond Baril, produced by Paul Johnston, and featuring Neil Swainson, Dave Laing, and Chris Andrew in the rhythm section.

PERFORMANCES

March 3/5 I will be conducting the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra featuring PJ Perry playing the music of Charlie Parker. We will also play the last two movements of Dreaming of the Masters IV.

 

March 20, 2022, The Alberta Baroque Ensemble will premiere my Concerto for Flute and Violin, commissioned to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

April 21, 2022 Bent River Spotlight. We are finally doing a spotlight concert for my CD Dreaming, The Prague Sessions.

Excited to be performing again with the River City Big Band. Join us May 15 at the Betty Andrews Recital Hall for an evening of Count Basie.

Pipe Dreams May 17-20 The MacEwan Big Band, and Jim Walker will record Pipe Dreams, the concerto I wrote for Jim in 2018.

July 7-12 Traveling to New York with Vern Theissen to work with Vern and Royce on The Englishman's Boy.

July 13-23 Traveling with the Edmonton Winds to Germany and Prague. Tour will culminate July 21 with a performance of Dreaming of the Masters IV at WASBE in Prague.

PROJECTS

I'm currently working on a big band adaptation of Holst's The Planets for the River City Big Band.

Works continues on the musical adaptation of The Englishman's Boy. Next up, a 1st Act workshop this November.
