Program Notes

This work is an adaptation of Roots for unaccompanied Electric Bass. It was part of a "call for scores" put forth by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra while I was studying at the University of Edminburgh. Legendary jazz bassist John Pattituci was in Edinburgh to perform with the orchestra and agreed to workshop these pieces that featured electric bass with chamber winds and strings.
